Asian American Pioneer Medal Symposium and Ceremony
Community program spotlight
A Stanford gathering honoring Asian American pioneers and convening leaders across energy, artificial intelligence, life sciences, and leadership.
RSVPThe Asian American Pioneer Medal Symposium and Ceremony took place on July 27, 2024 at Stanford Memorial Auditorium. The event focused on transformative contributions by Asian American pioneers and brought together distinguished voices from energy, artificial intelligence, life sciences, and leadership.
The program materials named Nobel Prize laureates Steven Chu and Randy Schekman and Turing Award laureate Raj Reddy as keynote speakers. They also described fireside chats with former Stanford president and Turing Award laureate John Hennessy and industry leader Eric Yuan.
The event format combined a symposium, ceremony, and social reception. It also recognized winners of the Youth Ambassador for Science competition, connecting established scientific and technology leaders with the next generation of talent.
For the GPT DAO and GenAI X community, this event is a useful example of how AI community work can sit alongside broader science, leadership, and cultural contribution. It complements GENAI SUMMIT by showing a partner-event context where AI belongs inside a larger conversation about progress and public impact.
